He is an honest man and has earned the respect of all Republicans and Democrats. Cheney says he sees his role within the administration as one of a frank but discreet adviser to Bush. Cheney accepted his role as Republican vice president that he hopes to be a president candidate who is willing to be a cross-partisan collaborator and work in a manner of good will and for a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30, 1941) was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been wed to Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. As a 13-year-old, Richard Bruce and his family moved to Casper (in Wyoming, the State of Wyoming) which is where his father worked as the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's land conservation districts.
